As one of the largest energy services companies in the U.S., NORESCO uses design-build and a variety of performance-based contracting vehicles to deliver energy and maintenance savings and significant infrastructure upgrades to existing facilities. These upgrades can be funded through cost savings that the projects generate, without the need for up-front capital expenditures by the customer.

We also provide build-own-operate-maintain (BOOM) services for central heating, cooling and power-generation systems. Our Facilities Services group operates and maintains these central plants as well as others that are outsourced to NORESCO by the facility owners.

In addition, we offer a full suite of energy efficiency and sustainable design consulting services. We collaborate with building owners, architects and engineers to identify and integrate viable sustainable design strategies into projects to optimize overall energy and environmental performance in new construction and existing buildings. Our services include energy auditing, commissioning and retro-commissioning, energy & daylighting analysis, LEED® certification consulting, and sustainability master-planning.

NORESCO's customers include federal government agencies, universities, state and local governments, school districts, hospitals, and industrial and commercial businesses. We have guaranteed more than $3 billion in energy savings at more than 7,000 sites throughout the U.S. and worldwide.

NAESCO Accreditation

NORESCO is accredited as an Energy Service Company (ESCO) and Energy Service Provider (ESP) by NAESCO, the National Association of Energy Service Companies. We are recognized for our expertise and technical depth in developing and implementing comprehensive energy efficiency, performance-based and build/own/operate distributed generation, cogeneration or combined heat and power (CHP) projects, as well as verifying energy savings according to accepted industry practice and consulting or contracting for commodity electricity or gas supply.

Customer Service Commitment

At NORESCO, we are committed to 100% customer satisfaction.

We believe that a focus on operational excellence and customer satisfaction is key to a successful ESPC project. Our solutions are designed with your strategic business objectives in mind. We leverage our extensive experience in project design, implementation, commissioning, operations and maintenance to deliver customized and innovative solutions that deliver performance with payback.

Our Customer Care Program is an extension of this philosophy that ensures that your project meets its intended goals and the energy savings persist for the duration of the contract. The NORESCO Customer Care team serves as a primary point of contact, providing a critical link through the project lifecycle and allowing for efficient communication and less disruptive problem resolution. The team can also assist with energy or sustainability award nominations and commendations during the performance period.

Environment, Health & Safety

At NORESCO, safety is our #1 priority and is the leading value driver to our overall performance. Our safety record is notable among peers, with no OSHA violations on a NORESCO-managed construction project in the past ten years and a company insurance experience modification rate (EMR) of 0.55.

Our core belief is that all incidents are preventable and we are intent on maintaining the safest possible environment to avoid human tragedy and costly delays. Our safety program strives to maintain a culture of continuous commitment that centers on the 4C’s: Coaching, Compliance, Correction and Communication. This commitment extends to our subcontractors, who are subject to a rigorous qualification process and expected to comply with our site safety and health plans.
