Brian C. Rieder

Vice President, Sustainability Services

Brian Rieder has nearly 20 years of professional experience, including more than 15 years of energy engineering and construction at NORESCO. Mr. Rieder oversees the daily operations of NORESCO’s Sustainability Services consulting group, ensuring staff continuity and seamless project execution. His leadership is pivotal in maintaining customer satisfaction, efficient project delivery and achieving business goals. 

Mr. Rieder has leveraged his expertise in building systems, certifications, HVAC system design and construction to develop decarbonization projects that integrate energy efficiency, renewable energy sources, and carbon reduction strategies, catering to a diverse array of business types and vertical markets.

Prior to joining NORESCO, Mr. Rieder gained valuable experience working for a regional MEP engineering firm located in the Northeast. This role expanded his expertise in planning, design, engineering, construction and service excellence, contributing to successful outcomes for customers.

Mr. Rieder holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Rhode Island and a Master of Business Administration degree with specialization in Sustainability from Northeastern University. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in New Jersey and New York and holds numerous credentials from third-party organizations for sustainable building and energy management.
