Bill Z. Foster
Vice President, Business Development
Mr. Foster’s primary duties include acting as liaison between NORESCO’s business development teams and state agencies and municipal governments. He collaborates with governments to educate and explore the many ways in which technology can be used to help create smart infrastructure while helping plan, finance and implement smart and energy efficient solutions.
Mr. Foster’s diverse background includes successfully managing and orchestrating multiple mergers and acquisitions of energy and software/technology-based companies across multiple platforms. He was the CEO of a national technology firm focused exclusively on energy and facility management software, DDC controls and energy services acquired by a Fortune 500 regulated utility in the southern US.
Mr. Foster has held various positions at NORESCO since 2003 including Vice President of Business Development. Additionally, he was Sr. Vice President of an international software and ERP integration services firm based in Vancouver, British Columbia. He began his career working in research and development in adhesives and coatings during which time he acquired two United States patents in polymer chemistry. He studied chemistry in the College of Science and Mathematics as well as economics and humanities at the University of South Carolina where he earned his baccalaureate degree.
