NORESCO Timeline

For almost two decades, NORESCO has provided its clients with fully outsourced integrated energy solutions valued at over $1.4 billion.

These projects vary in size from hundreds of thousands to tens of millions of dollars, and range from lighting-only applications to comprehensive programs that include mechanical systems, cogeneration and operations and maintenance of central energy facilities.

	Northeast Energy Services Company, Inc. (NORESCO) was formed as one of the first energy services companies in the nation. By year-end of NORESCO’s first full-year of operation, the firm had $2.4 million in revenue, two offices and 13 employees.
	The National Association of Energy Service Companies (NAESCO), recognized NORESCO for its technical and managerial competence, and accredited the firm as one of a distinguished group of ESCO members.
	In 1997, Pittsburgh-based Equitable Resources (NYSE:EQT) purchased the firm, adding NORESCO to its roster of customer-centric businesses. Equitable Resources, Inc. (NYSE:EQT) is an integrated energy company with emphasis on Appalachian area natural-gas supply, natural-gas transmission and distribution, and leading-edge energy-management services.
	NORESCO is one of the largest ESCOs in the United States, with 15 full service offices nationwide, over 250 employees and $150 million in annual revenue. While maintaining its core business providing energy savings performance contracting and energy management solutions to a wide range of customer markets, NORESCO successfully integrated new products and services including central plant development and operations and maintenance.

	The National Association of Energy Service Companies (NAESCO), recognized NORESCO as an accredited energy service provider ("ESP"). This most prestigious distinction recognizes NORESCO for its technical and managerial competence to provide energy supply, energy efficiency projects, energy services and performance-based energy projects.
