In early 2003, NORESCO completed a comprehensive energy conservation project at the Mt. San Jacinto Community College District campuses. Energy conservation measures included an interior and exterior lighitng retrofit, new energy management system, replacement of rooftop package air conditioning units, chilled and hot water pumps, and supply fan motors with new high-efficiency units. NORESCO also replaced the worst-performing air conditioning units on the campus with new high-efficiency units with seasonal energy efficiency ratios (SEERs) of 11 and 12. Overall, the project saved 90 kW in electrical demand, 630,000 kWh in electrical consumption, and 30,000 therms in gas usage.
