West Point has more than 80 major buildings encompassing nearly three million square feet. With energy costs rising and a federal mandate to reduce energy consumption by 30 percent, NORESCO was selected to provide comprehensive energy conservation and electricity procurement services for the Academy.

Solution: Over the last three years, NORESCO has implemented conservation measures valued at $6.1 million and continues to identify measures that we anticipate will reach $10 million. ECMs included a new chiller and cooling tower, comprehensive lighting, a laundry heat recovery system, and a diesel generation system for peak shaving. In addition, NORESCO provides the Academy's electricity needs (up to 15 MW).
