Senior Vice President, Commercial

Alex Castro has over 30 years of diverse clean energy experience and serves as Senior Vice President for NORESCO’s Commercial business line. Mr. Castro leads sales and project development efforts to help commercial customers achieve sustainability, efficiency, healthy building and broader ESG goals, as well as decarbonization and sustainability-focused local law compliance.   

Mr. Castro and his team leverage NORESCO’s decades of energy efficiency, infrastructure and sustainability consulting experience to assess each customer’s unique needs and develop customized “as-a-service” and other creative offerings and strategies that achieve customer goals. He is also responsible for developing key industry and utility partnerships that expand and optimize service delivery, value and results for commercial customers. 

Prior to joining NORESCO, Mr. Castro spent the last 15 years at Lime Energy, most recently as Executive Vice President of Sales and Operations for the commercial energy efficiency business. Prior to joining Lime, Mr. Castro built facilities services businesses serving national account customers as a co-founder of MethodIQ, and as a Vice President at Prenova.  He began his career in the utility space, where he developed commercial energy services and products for National Grid and Direct Energy.

Mr. Castro earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering from New York University’s Polytechnic School of Engineering.
